Hi everyone! Meet William and Kevin. They’re building a better AI autocomplete for JetBrains.
They originally started Sweep in 2023 to build an AI junior developer, which hit 7.6k stars on GitHub.
The founders' soon realized that this was many years out. Instead, they decided to build a coding assistant that developers could use today. William and Kevin have been JetBrains users since they were in college, and they were surprised something like this didn’t exist yet.
They built Sweep for themselves, and use Sweep Tab hundreds of times a day to write production-grade code instead of vibe coding. It’s boosted their productivity by 2x and they hope you like it too.
Developers writing production-grade code need tools like autocomplete that keep them in the loop rather than agents that take them out of it.
