Founded by Maxwell Gurewitz & Chandler Craig
Hi everyone, meet Max and Chandler from Dittofeed 🙂
Max and Chandler have been friends since high school – 20 years and counting! They founded Dittofeed in 2023 with a mission to make a great open-source alternative to Klaviyo, Braze, and MailChimp.
Max was previously a senior software engineer at OpenTable and Braze where he helped architect infrastructure that scaled their automated messaging services to billions of end users.
Chandler was previously a marketing manager at Sony Music and various B2C startups where he became a power user of marketing automation software, seeing a need for change in the industry.
On any given day, somewhere in the world, there’s an engineer reimplementing a low code messaging automation tool for the nth time.
Drag and drop workflow builders, user segmentation engines, and email template editors are seemingly ubiquitous among SaaS.
This is especially true for vertical SaaS. Consider the example of an app for healthcare providers - the providers may want to automate SMS to patients when a prescription refill is available. Or you might have an app for property managers, and you need to let them email tenants when their lease is up for renewal. It’s a non-trivial lift to build this suite of tools, and it can end up taking engineering teams 6-12 months to implement, plus ongoing maintenance.
Dittofeed’s Embedded Components wrap up its existing open-source messaging automation so it can be embedded within your own application.
You can consume these components using styled iframes, unstyled react components, or by using Dittofeed as a headless API to rebuild your own components from scratch.
These embedded components can be served by Dittofeed cloud, or by self-hosting Dittofeed. Self-hosting is great for highly regulated industries like health and finance.
Contact via email here, and they’ll send you an admin API key. Check out the Embedded Components documentation to learn more.
