Launch YC: Burt - AI Teammates for Logistics

"Build AI teammates that follow your specific processes, work within your existing system, freeing your team to move faster and spend time where it counts."

TL;DR: Burt helps freight brokers and forwarders build AI teammates that handle their repetitive, manual tasks so teams have time to focus on customers, carriers, and growing the business. Whether it’s tracking loads or chasing and processing documents, teams can build AI coworkers that follow their specific processes and work on top of their existing systems.

Founded by Bobby Zhong & Kurt Sharma

They both grew up in logistics families so they know how hard the people in the industry have to work and they genuinely want to be able to make an impact on the space. Bobby spent weekends at his dad's 3PL warehouse and Kurt grew up watching his uncle sell on Amazon FBA — where half the stress was always coordinating shipments and chasing freight.

They know how hard freight is and there’s no one else they would rather build for than the people in it.

The Problem

Freight brokers and forwarders operate on razor-thin margins in a relationship-driven business — yet most of their teams spend the majority of their day on manual, repetitive work.

Problems like

  • Shipment tracking and check calls
  • Document processing and data entry
  • Chasing PODs and rate cons
  • Finding and booking carriers
  • Invoice auditing and billing reconciliation
  • Quoting and building loads

As volume grows, so does the headcount required to manage it. Teams burn out, service suffers, and growth stalls.

Their Solution

Burt helps freight brokers and forwarders build AI teammates that handle their most repetitive workflows end-to-end — check calls, document processing, covering loads, invoicing, and more — pulling in the right person only when they're actually needed.

Their AI teammates work the way a human operator would: reading emails, making calls, logging into portals, and updating their TMS — following their specific processes and living on top of their existing systems

Teams can take on more business without burning people out, cut down on costly mistakes, and get their best operators back on the relationships that actually drive growth.
